Twisted

Personal thoughts tangled like tumbleweed Remain Silent noise to others ears Causing tears to fall one by one Like a old leaky faucet Because of fears and unwanted confrontation Causing the heart to twist like a pretzel With its vessels constantly intertwining Causing something like heart burn Because the heart is in a state of catatonia And doesn't remember where things went wrong Glancing in the soul of the mirror Wishing someone else face would appear And take on the pain and confusion To make things easier and take away the worry And having just a few moments of mental clarity Before the wishing hits a dead end As the thought flood back in and thicken like caramel syrup And the crying goes from drops to raging streams Causing the heart to lock up and become cold Building up a barrier Causing something similar to the reconstruction of the Great Wall of China Dismissing ones self from that state of catatonia And to the realization that nothing comes easy And for things to get better u gotta face the shadows And burn them out with the light
