Twisted Sweetness

If you were a flower

and I was a bee

I would climb inside you

not leaving until you were empty.

If you were a boat

and I was the sea

I’d sink you down

So you wouldn’t leave me.

If I was a butterfly

and you were a daisy

I’d get drunk off your pollen

until everything gets hazy.

If I was a violin

and you were a broken note

it’d still be the sweetest thing

a composer had ever wrote.

Oh my dear,

If only you were mine.
