The Twisted Tale of Rapunzel's Demon

This tale could start with Once Upon a Time

in a land with riches and no evil in the mind.

But that would be a lie to all who know the story

about Rapunzel and the demon she let go.

In a far off castle lived a girl so sweet,

a girl with a golden heart,

a girl no more than 17.

She lived by herself, fearing the world,

specifically a monster with evil that swirled.

Trapping herself in her room all day,

a small child came to her house and begged her to play.

To much hesitation, she stood at the door,

staring at the girl no older than 4.

Finally, she sung her agreement in ease,

but the girl in front of her was not easy to please.

The girl morphed into a horrendous figure,

one with 9 legs and a hunched back to fit her.

Her head stood still as blonde hair began to grow,

faster and faster, never too slow.

The kind girl screamed and dropped in fear,

for the small child there was never here.

"Back away, demon! I know what you are."

"I refuse my sweet. I have come so far."

The demon replied with a rasp howl so chilling,

the girl dashed off and ran to the ceiling.

The highest tower is as far as she got

before she got pulled back and began to fought.

Clawing, punching, desperate to survive,

the girl couldn't defeat Rapunzel's demon,

for it always revived.

Finally, she thought of a trick she once learned

in a far off place, one Rapunzel burned.

Tricking the demon with its native tongue,

she lured it into the room in which destroyed one of its lungs.

Fire sprung at the threshold of the door as

Rapunzel began pounding against the hardwood floor.

"You can't hurt anyone anymore," the girl breathed heavily in victory.

Rapunzel released a groan and sneered bitterly.

"You can believe what you want, but it's not the end,

for my demon is now released and searching for a plan.

I shall be free by a handsome prince,

then I'll slaughter his kingdom and leave you to wince.

You'll be alone like you always were

and they'll know the name of the infamous lore.

Rapunzel is the name and always will be,

for there isn't a monster greater than me."

The girl stumbled back before closing the door

and blocked out the noise of her yelling some more.

"I will lock her up until I die," she whispered.

"Or until I have a way to kill her upon a golden sky.

Her hair will grow until it is her weakness,

then I'll attack one, the way I see fittest."

The girl stumbled back into her room,

flopped on her bed, and pray it'll be soon.

Rapunzel's words were so true,

for she is a villain, and there is nothing the girl could do.
