The Two
All this love I cannot contain;
And holding it, is driving me insane;
To give my love, but no one to receive;
It escapes from me, like the wounded bleed;
A mutual love, it’s hard to find;
But I try for a couple girls in mind;
The one is small, tiny and petite;
But her high standards, I cannot meet;
She’s so damn cute, pretty as can be;
So every time I see her, it saddens me;
She says she has problems, she wants some love;
I fit the spot, but am not good enough;
She thinks she’s ugly, I disagree;
She’s very pretty, and that’s what’s killing me;
And the next is younger, two years less than me;
And a fallen Angel, she must me;
She knows I love her, in her eyes I see;
I want to be with her, but we cannot be;
She has her man, but he does not deserve;
The Angel that, I see in her;
As we pass, in the hallway near;
Her eyes, they’re saying, “I’m still here”;
