TWO

Fighting each other within my mind, Two personalities hard to define. One is bold, fearless and direct, The other anxious, worried and wrecked. The confident me steps forward to lead, Making big plans, setting goals with great speed. Excited to take on the world and its thrills, Opportunities abound, nothing to kill. But then the other side of me interferes, Anxiety kicks in, fueling all my fears. Insecurity creeps in, like a thief in the night, Choking my confidence, dimming my light. Thoughts race, heart beats at unprecedented speed, Doubt floods my mind, consuming me with greed. Thinking impulsively, losing my head, This side of me takes over, leaving the other one dead. How do I find balance between these two? The confident and anxious, both undeniably true. It's a daily struggle, a tug-of-war unseen, But acceptance and self-love is a victory gleamed. For in the end, it's who I am through and through, I love myself, even with these two. So I'll embrace my complexity, my duality, And find a way to live with my bipolarity.
