Two Brothers.

Darkness and Light (August 20th 2015)

Sunlight pierces my body

The way a school of comets pierce space

Yet these two , darkness and light, cannot occupy the same space

Light spitefully consumes

He drags his feet carving streaks and scratches on the kitchen floor

Drawing chalk on new asphalt

Only to be consumed by black space in time

Darkness and light in eternal battle

Both supersedes the other’s rival

Two brothers dance the waltz

Stepping on each others toes

White and black

The absence of the color, the other a combination of all

Sworn enemies

Abel and Cain, Batman and the Joker

The color of moonlight

Photons of the moon light bathes my black skin

I roast slow in my pot as I bake to a golden brown.

I stand at the end of time

Where waves of color seize to exist

Black and White face off

one enemy across from the other

Eyes unwavering, hands in pockets

Rockets could not move their glare

The war between these brothers is the eternal stare

Eyes seeking to understand the other’s existence

Both refusing to love thy brother.
