Two Clocks

We both wanted to love.

To let our hearts lead the way, but both of us knew better.

Hearts to broken, minds to swollen.

We knew better.

Two different clocks trying to tick in unison, but failed becasue they were to scared.

Thin strings of rope hanged between us...to thin the broke more than once.

We knew better.

Loneliness was our savior

But darkness filled our empty hearts.

We saw colors of rainbows across the darkness when our clocks aligned.

We knew better.

But she knew better too
