  (I don't care what you're doing. 
        What I want you to do is obviously more important.) 
"Do this, do that" 
   (I'm too lazy to do it myself, 
         so you can do it for me.)
     "Homework can wait for later,
           I said NOW!"
             (Oh, you're trying to do something productive?
                  AHAHAHAHA nope!)
"Oh, you're busy?
     You can do it later."
        (Your passions aren't important to me.)
    "Don't raise your voice at me!
      (Don't you dare treat me the way I treat you.)         
 "We are done with this conversation. D. O. N. E."
         (I don't want to hear what you have to say,
                    because it's not what I want to hear.)
"Sarcasm doesn't suit you well"
     (I don't like it because it makes me look stupid.)
"Because I'm the mother and I said so!
        THAT'S WHY!"
          (You're not worth the time to explain.)
   "You're not very pretty right now."
         (You're not allowed to have a bad day)
"How was your day? Oh, mmhmm, that's nice."
             (I'm only pretending to listen.)
  "Why don't you ever tell me anything?"
          (Why don't you act like your friends?)
"Why does it feel like I don't know you?"
     (Why do you protect yourself from me?)
 "Why don't you date Chris? 
        His parents are wonderful people."
           (Why don't you let me run your life like you used to?)
"Your face is full of acne,
    you should really use that stuff again."

 "You made a nice salad, Em. Thank you."
