Two People

Two people, melded together by the gentle strength of time,
Drawn together, only by the grace of One greater.
What luck, what blessing, to be with one to mend
So great a gash in the fabric of a life, by the thread of Love. 

How can one explain the miracle of Love,
Of a passion internal, shown external, given eternal,
Of an innate sense of belonging with one met unexpected,
How sweet the entanglement of two souls.

Consider leaves, falling when summer turns, seemingly bleak,
A change of color and appearance and lifestyle,
A path originating from different branches,
Across the span of canopy, an endless blanket of hue.
Wind driven elements cascading from comfort,
With purpose, not of their own creation.

Driven together by seeming Fate,
Though one knows better,
The idea romancing the two,
Of a Power guiding them to glide together,
Meeting in the air as though hands formed around them,
Tumbling as one, to new life, through new eyes.

A couple, a life together, a life lived as one,
Toppling from comfort into strained bliss,
A life not easy, but powerful in its love,
A flesh brought to fruition by a Creator, and willing vessels.

I will never leave your side,
I will never take my life as priority to yours.
As we are driven to become one,
My desire is to encourage you:
To see the wonder you hold in your beauty,
To hear the wisdom you proclaim,
To understand, together, the Love, and in turn grace, that our God has given us.
It is only by this grace that I was able to understand this great Love for you,
It is only by this Love that I can give you anything you deserve.
Thank God that He led us together.
Thank God that He gave us the opportunity to know one another.
I will always Love you dearly, but not of my own created love,
That’s not enough for the perfection that God has created you to be.
Only by Him can
I Love You.
