Two Roses

I was once here

In this hollow room

Nine years ago.

Holding a simple rose

Parting from the one I love

By offering the rose

To the Lifeless body.

I only wish to restore life to this body

That suffocated from a single habit of craving.

I was only trying to heal

The heartbreaking beat

That came from my innocent soul

By hoping to not part ways from my uncle.

Now once again,

I am holding a simple rose.

Though one petal remains sour

While the vigorous red embraces the rest of the flower.

So, I pluck the flavorless petal

Left it by the lifeless body

Forgave all the tainted memories of misery

And cherished the life within them.

I was parting death, yet again

But this time there is no need for healing.

By simply walking out of this hollow room

through a single wooden door

I preserved the life of both the Rose

And the memories

Of the Body

That was once my father.
