Two-Sided.

Why is it they scream: Bigots! Haters! Liars! Losers! Why is they scream, We are mad? We are bad? WE are evil, And the songs we sing Are wrong? Why do they sceam You Lie! You judge! You're evil! Why do they scream at us? All we know to do Is tell the truth. But the truth became hard to swallow So they shut their ears They shut their eyes And stopped listening. I have a right to life! They scream, The right to live how I want! They hate it when we tell them No you don't. They don't listen when we tell them then We don't either. How quickly are we supposed to lay down our lives To forgive To let go To remain unsatisfied, Health wealth and prosperity Gospel Is a lie. Its the obedient who travel on Its the obedient who die To themselves. We have no rights. But if we try to use those rights To keep from being swallowed up Those whose "right" it is to be right Come barreling down on us. You don't have the RIGHT, To tell us where to go Or what to do or how to dress Don't tell us that you know whats best YOU DON'T. Abortionists cry: Pro-Choice! But we make the "wrong" choice So the hate us. Homosexuals cry: No hate! But we reach out in love So they hate us. We stick to our guns They cry out that we are being intolerant. We cling to our morals And sob out, They scream we are bringing religion in Where it should never be brought. Demands for us to accomodate Demands for us to appreciate To lay down what we've fought for, What we fight for, Who we die for-- They say we are being intolerant Demand conformity. We who speak the truth in love Instead, get no tolerance. Why must we bow to the whims of the few Why must be bow to the surge of the crowd? Why must WE back down? Who decided long ago, That Christ's people, Were always wrong?

I want to write good poetry, lyrical powerful poetry about God. So whatever I write that is lyrical, powerful and moving--Does NOT come from me, but from Him. I take no credit other than that my fingers typed it.
