two of the three

You were bright and bashful,

Your heart was warm.

Having nothing but three,

Was all that you need.

After the mid-year vacation,

Nothing big,

Something small.

Changed it all.

I wanted to know,

Why did you miss the fall?

When you returned time was lost.

You were gone,

Your affair was new,

He was all you need,

A young kid with a new riddle.

I wanted to know,

Why did you become so little?

Years have driven by,

Your calls stopped coming,

You stopped caring,

Eviction was on the brink,

The house was broken.

One of the three,

Started to sell tree,

Two of three is me,

Three of three,

Found a way to leave.

I wanted to know

Did you just need space to breathe?

I figured it's time you hear from me,

Two of three.

I don't want to know.

I want to let you know,

You're not what I need,

And we the three,

Moved on from finding thee.

Goodbye Mom.
