Two Weeks Later

Two weeks later

Another boom

Not again

Please, not again

Panic

I race to the window

Expecting to see

Panic

Smoke, dust, blood

Lost life and broken dreams

The sun is shining

Just as it was the 15th

Why is no one panicking

Why am I the only one

TV, computer

News, reporter

But there’s nothing

E-mail, open

“Community Advisory - Construction-related Blasting in Fenway Area of Boston”

And now, I finally breathe
