Two Worlds

Floating in a lonely place,

rocking beneath the latticework

of sunshine on my face,

Cool, clear-blue waves shirk

from the outstretched hand I place

upon the silvery hue.

Sunlight beams down from high

through the leaves of lace

Stuck in the middle of two worlds I lie

At peace with both,

I wait.
