Two Worlds

It’s amazing how easily you allow yourself to be swept into a world

A story

That is not your own

You cannot help yourself

For you can’t help but feel that

You were the one who slayed the Minotaur

You were the one who outlasted all of the other tributes and outwitted the Capital

You were the one who chose the vampire over the werewolf in the end

You were dauntless

You were the only one who could unlock the past

You were the one who cracked the DaVinci Code

You were the one who destroyed the horcruxes

You were the brightest witch of your age

You can’t help but wish that

You were the one who restored order to these places

You were the one who saved the day

You were the hero

You wish to be anything but yourself

But you can still be a hero

To not just some, but a great extent

If you learn to live in both worlds

And use what you have learned from the one that you cannot step foot in

For good in the one that you walk.
