The Two Year Story (Based on personal experiences)

She began to hate her reflection,

Planning how to lose weight.

She saw her body needing a correction.

So she watched what she ate.

It didn’t stop at that,

Soon she stopped eating sweets.

She kept fearing she was fat,

Denying herself treats.

Meat soon was a danger,

Starch and dairy banned.

Sugar became a stranger,

Every meal was planned.

Sneaking out at night,

She exercised until dawn.

Returning, when the sky was light,

And enough weight was gone.

Each meal became a fight,

Her refusing food

With all her might.

Always in a horrible mood.

Her bones began to show,

Hair falling out,

Skin losing all its glow.

Lips pursed in a permanent pout.

She started to fade,

A slave to her scale.

Seeing no progress made,

Afraid to fail.
