Two Years;

It’s been two years.
Two years since you entered my life,
That’s two years that you haven’t left.
Two years since you found me,
That’s two years filled with regret.
It’s been two years.
Two years since I was told you were there,
That’s two years that I have been filled with despair.
Two years that I haven’t had sleep,
That’s two years I’ve been weak.
It’s been two years.
Two years I have never to get back,
That’s two years that I’ve been slack.
Two years since I called you mine,
That’s two years closer to the day I die.
It’s been two years.
