its okay to say

you're having a bad day...

remember when you felt,

as you were tightening your belt,

about how you thought you were not

worth what you got?

it was a scary time

flipping personalities on a dime

and not seeing how decent you are

it breaks my heart.

it didn't matter that you're smart as hell

or that you can show not tell

it was really sad seeing you crumble down

onto the cold hard ground.

and now that you're a bit bigger

and you're not your own gravedigger

i'll tell you a secret

"YOU'RE GOOD ENOUGH!"
