Without the filters, all my imperfections are shown, lain across a wide range of different opinions.

Some are ugly, just plain ugly. There are so many things to hate about the way I look.

I edit my selfies for a reason, to hide the ugly away from people I don't know.

Though it is nice to take off the makeup once in a while. It's nice to get away.

My iconic baby blue eyes everyone falls for, those are the only things that don't need a filter.

My eyes are beautiful even without the makeup and filters.

My dimples, I'd never give anything up for those.

My friends think I'm pretty, and beautiful or gorgeous.

I don't see it, basically my selfies without filters are ugly. My acne, my freckles, scars are what make me ugly.

There's a level of comfort when I have finished adding another filter or edited my facial imperfections.

Maybe one day, someone somewhere will show me I don't need those things to be perfect.
