The Ugly Spider

I killed a spider that I found near my bath
Ugly and horrid, while frozen in fear
But reason enough to suffer my wrath
Oh, but nothing worth me shedding a tear.
On my way out I got mauled by a bear
She clawed my face off and ripped my lungs out
I bled and I begged, but she didn’t care
My bloody intestines hung from her snout.
I gave up the fight and grew cold and still
The funny thing now? I don’t blame the bear.
Not knowing better, why shouldn't she kill?
But was I to blame, you now ask yourself?
I killed a spider that I found near my bath
But see, I may as well have killed myself.
