THE ULTIMATE GIFT by Brea Gentry

I am in love with what nature gave me

The ultimate gift

One that will never be put in the trash or given away

It brings me joy, creativity, and life

How can something be so far away, but still revive my soul each time I open my eyes?

Sunshine

How dare it be so beautiful?

So captivating?

That thing, way up in the sky

Affects my mood, my actions, my words for the day

If there were no sunshine, I could not live

Figuratively or literally

My soul would wither away in the darkness, in sorrow

Sunshine, you will forever be the ultimate gift
