Ultimate Sacrifice

When they beat me, black and blue I did it all, and thought of you So you wouldn't taste bitter defeat To the Cross, they nailed My Feet When I said 'Forgive them, they know not what they do' I said that special, just for you For you I gladly paid the price I gave My Life; My Sacrifice On the Cross I stood, for all the world to see Death had been defeated, you had been set free On the Cross I said 'It Is Done' The battle is over, I have won They laid Me in a barren Tomb But only for evil, did it spell doom On the Third Day, I rose from the Grave Eternal Life to all, I happily gave Oh death, where is thou sting? It has been defeated, by Me, Your King No more will death knock on your door And you will be with Me, forever more
