Un-Achievable Beauty

Plastic Perfection

I can’t have your perception change of me,

your peripheral vision will be tainted.

Alternated by the persona I made you believe.

The girl that gave off so much life had lost hers in the minced of the world

and you’d never know, that she like everyone else,

didn’t know who she was,
and she had been lost in the books for so long it was unbeknownst to her that there was no happy ending in the real world.

That the turns in the page read a destiny that was manuscript by people with hopes and dreams that you would have presume that maybe it was true.

But the truth is not everyone will be the main character,

but the people that tell those stories.

That you favorite characters die,

and there friends disguise themselves with lies,

That love only lasted in beauty,

and if men’s appeal of you couldn’t be shown in your curves or the softness in your eyes that you couldn’t be partaken as beautiful.

And no man had wanted ugly.

But Disney Princesses were never drawn by women

the paint they use always covers their flaws,

wiped there scars,

took away their crooked smiles,

hindered the smudges,

making there lives a beautiful disaster,

a crumbling lie of reality.

Hiding the fact that dreams and perfection were only ledged on books that started with what every child and adult knows

‘once upon a time.’
