Un-Answered Phone Call

My Dad is the last person on Earth who remembers me as

Lovely.

When he is not here,

that thought is gone from this World.

If he ever dies,

I'll be alone with my innocence.

I'm terribly afraid to show it to anyone else.

I revolt at the thought of him finding out he is wrong.

I don't want to be alone,

so I lie by omission.
