Unafraid
I want to live each day, unafraid.
Of what to say or to do or to wear or to think.
Unafraid of where to go, what people will say.
Just one day, in the moment.
Unafraid of what the future will bring.
As I sit here,
And drink my morning coffee,
I want to enjoy this one moment.
Enjoy the silence of the snow falling,
The warm cup in my hands.
The laughter of my family in the next room.
I do not think about the future,
Nor do I dwell on the past.
I simply live in each moment,
And try to make each day last.
