Unanswered cries

Every night I am put into cages so small,

I have no room to crawl.

Each morning I wake up with new scratches,

On these rusty cages my fur catches.

I receive very little food

Which explains my bitter attitude.

I whine and howl

But am awnsered with hits from a towel.

For a new future I pray,

Along with a family with which I can play.

I wish they could hear my cry,

In this cage I don't want to die.
