Unanswered Prayer

Please I beg spare my unbroken cords and put them out of their misery. The brain stem pulses, pink, yellow, red. Tainted. By your touch, your methods. Not my intention. Interpretation is skin deep. It is a toe touch to a wading pool. You would not understand. Breathe, speak. Carry on. But don’t understand. For that is the worst of sins.
