Unanswered Questions

Does it matter what form of abuse you choose to use? Whether of verbal discord, which so offends the ears, or of physical recourse, which the body finds so hard to bear. Both are detrimental, both make the blackguard in hell go, laughing and dancing with mirth. Both cause great hurt. Both deteriorate the bonds between those who were formerly so fond, of one another. Ugly words mar a language, much as a fist to the face would. What is the difference? Someone, please, make a plausible inference, that would make a verbal offense, hurt just a little less, than a knife through the chest, when a single word can cut to the core, and leave bleeding on the floor. Both leave you maimed, which makes them both the same, though the perpetrator of one, can manage to go on, as though their deed had never been done, with only conscience to act as judge, who often takes leave, when he is most in need, paying no heed, to the victim who, is so often never paid their due, but, then much is the same course, that a murderer is forced, to go through in a court, with a real judge too. A real judge, whose presence is more reliable, though no less unpleasant, since his virdicts are no more satisfactory, than that of the conscience in all of his inconsistency. Justice, justice where do you go, when you are needed the most? Do you even exist, or are you merely part of a myth, part of some folk-lore, created by people seeking recompense, for the injuries done to them, by an overbearing overlord? Injuries of the most serious nature, injuries that do not only show evidence of their existance upon one's features, but that leave their own unique bruise, upon one's soul, a symptom of verbal abuse, of which one is forced to carry around, and pretend that its mark is not so profound, as it truly is, the pain of such, which is comparable to being struck, by a hand who seeks to inflict harm, and leave its own mark upon one's arm. A spirit forever scarred, a limb mortally marred, 'tis both the same.
