Unapologetically me

Some recover from darkness, and some don’t

I was a lucky one, and although I did,

there are these specks of obscurity

that live attached to the healed

that no matter how hard I try to

mentally and emotionally

relieve myself of the

commensalistic relationship, it does not work,

but to complete the trifecta of human capability is physicality.

The art of expressing through paper

when I cannot physically speak it to others or myself

has been a force to be reckoned to be with.

I know now its ok

to not force myself to share

when I feel down or uncomfortable -- I’ll just turn to my pen and paper.

I have learned articulation

expressing every single feeling I have

into a few lines that perfectly capture its essence.

Most importantly, I have been taught

Freedom.

I have invented my own voice

And forever on

I will unapologetically be who I am

and that's perfectly okay.
