Unapologetically Opinionated

Behind polite smiles and nods,

There is a storm of thoughts

Ready to be released.

I'm in a constant battle between

Keeping the peace for the sanity of both of us

And calling out your bullshit.

When there is no filter,

I am unapologetically opinionated.

I will tell you why you are

Rape jokes aren't funny.

Or why the n-word is cruel and racist.

I will tell you why you are wrong.

When there is no filter,

I will defend my passion for justice

No matter what the cost.

Call me uptight.

Call me liberal.

Call me a feminazi.

Because when there is no filter,

I will call you

A bigot.

A racist.

A misogynist.

When there is no filter,

I will no longer keep the peace.

When there is no filter,

I will break the silence.

When there is no filter,

I will fight.
