Unappreciated
I never understood why you hated me so much.
I thought you were suppose to be my mother, and love me.
Instead you made me the enemy, and it came out of you.
I don't understand what I ever did to you, explain that to me.
The fact that you could sit there and say I was a mistake was just cruel.
You had a smirk on your face as if you didn't care that it hurtled me to hear you say it.
Every since then my life's been pure hell with you.
I feel like I'm living with a stranger and being treated like crap.
Thought you'd at least be happy about me graduating, but somehow I know you wanted me to fail.
Well I proved you and everybody else who doubted me wrong.
No I didn't do it for you or them, but for my son, my pride and joy.
He gave me my motivation to do better, and he will always be my motivation.
Yes I was hurting, I still am hurting.
But I will not let your actions nor your words keep me down or make me who I am.
I'm a stronger and better woman than you are.
