Unaware

Look at the world around you

And think about the things you do

You worry about clothes and spend money on hair

But tell me how can people be so unaware

The world is burning to the ground

Screaming and gunshots is a common sound

So what is wrong with the world we live in?

Why are we so infatuated with sin?

People gamble and cheat

While kids are starving on the street

One nation under god became so faded

So when are we going to fix what we created

This world needs to open its eyes

And stop controlling it with lies

If someone’s hurt what do you gain

How can someone smile when they cause a person pain?

Lets stop this suffering and inhumanity

And not take advantage of the land of the free

We need to realize what we have become

And not be content with the way things are done

We need to stand in unity

In order to have the chance to truly be free
