To the Unborn Child

To the Unborn Child Oh, you child Wait, for you have always been with me, Do not come in haste. My betrothal , do not hasten his arrival. I have left off to be a man, That the man in me be manly Oh child, I entreat your womb to hold on a little, And at your coming, your father will rejoice When he has paid the price to be a husband and father.
