Unbreakable

I know it's best for my heart

to try and keep from falling apart

but sometimes trying is worse than crying,

releasing pent up emotions and constantly lying

saying "i'm fine" when life itself is far from devine.

Treading on like a soilder,,

purposefully broadening my shoulders.

A little damaged but still alright,

I just have to remember I won the fight.

No one comes out unscathed,

No one remains the same.

That doesn't mean we are not well,

it just means we're surviving hell.

A little broken, but that's okay,

a little glue will help take it away.

The wounds will still be there,

after all,

just gotta remember to stand up tall.
