(Un)certain and (Un)afraid

Dear Uncertainty,

Or are you fear?

Kismet’s keen eyes know you’ve troubled mine

Oh, how troubled I am

You send presents of eager sentiments

curses of dubious anxiety

Whenever you call, my mind is enthralled

though trapped in your nebula

I can see your meddling paint a future unsettling

I know you’ve plagued my past

Panic, your friend, also visited me again

you two- a troublesome couple

I have built a door

framed especially for you

Please, leave me in peace

And with the Lord’s help

I cast you out, you demon

Save my sanity

I sincerely ache to pursue sure confidence,

Sincerely wish to hop off this rickety fence

Sincerely trust God with my indecisiveness

Sincerely,

Unafraid
