Uncertainty

(Images flash through my mind

My heart is racing all the time
My palms are sweating,
Listening to the ferocious waves
Crashing on the rocks
I see the pain in the stranger’s eyes
Looking towards me
Whispering a prayer
A prayer from the heart
Holding my hands closely to her heart
My body shivers from the spirit
Releasing my burning tears
Stepping on the edge of life.
My mind is searching for a reason to take this flight,
While standing on this cliff of demise
Images of pain flashes through my mind
No longer able to deal with the suffering
I take the risk
Allowing your wings to catch me
Holding onto me tightly close to your heart
My heart beats slow, with the touch of your hands
That are comforted by your presence
Whispering to me, to say a prayer
I pray
For my angel to fly down and catch me
The tears that burn my face are being wiped away
Looking for an answer to my prayer
God show me another way
What I see is what I really need but it’s
What I was afraid to see
Afraid of her jumping off with me
I realize I cannot see without her wings
Her wings cannot be freed until
