Uncertainy

What you see
is not what you get.

I am the lightning minus the thunder,
silently concealed by a powerful coat
always straight-faced.
But I want to be so many things at once.
I long to be a heartbreaker, sly and quick
to be clad in ink and art, with a voice of gold.

Or  to be an artist, holed up in a studio
with mystery surrounding my name so that when people see me
they only see art.

I want to become outrageously independent
however I wish to remain a child

Indecisivness is my weakness
and it demands to remain hidden.

Pay no mind to the child behind the curtain!
For she is uncertain.
Look and see! Now she is a concert pianest,
now a tattoo artist, and once again a child.
Pay no mind the the everchanging enigma!

She does not yet know what she is;
Therefore, how can she be revealed in full for who she chooses to be
if she has not yet chosen.
