Unchange Change

Skyscrapers rise as farmlands fall,

And houses replace the cows.

Progress claims to benefit all;

All I can say is How?

Embrace the change, it's all for the best!

They exclaim as if they don't know.

All I know is it causes such stress;

So what does change have to show?

All I wish to change is change.

It's become something wicked and vile.

We've turned into monsters that must rearrange,

But when accused, we're all in denial.

Why can't we accept what's been given to us?

Can't we see, we have it all here?

If we leave things unchanged and stop making a fuss,

Our memories might not disappear.
