Unchartered Territory

Where within the galaxy 
a constellation cosmic abyss
declares you’ll never find me
a clairvoyant moon child came to rest
 
Over shadowed by the sun
eclectic gases lay their trail
a menagerie of Cupid’s arrows
caused Halley’s Comet to derail
 
Somewhere within the cosmos
this star child desiring not be found
pays hommage to the vast universe
as Mother Nature now births her child
