Uncomfortable

You’re everywhere,

You’re in my classes,

I never get a break from you.

You think you can anything you want,

But when others do the exact thing,

It’s wrong.

We watched “To This Day”,

A seven-minute cry for help.

You tried to be funny,

Like it was a coffee shop slam session.

It was a classroom.

You snapped.

Because you were uncomfortable.

Because deep down you knew that you may have caused that in someone's life.

Why not let it be uncomfortable,

And make you think about all those awful things.

That crushed a heart.

Took beauty away,

Even when you thought there was none.

How do you live with yourself,

Knowing what you’ve done.

So when this is finished,

No clapping,

No snapping,

Just silence.

So that you feel uncomfortable.
