Uncommon Geometry

The cars rushing by my
Open window create a
Sort of magic that
Nothing else could replicate

Maybe it's the heat
Maybe it's the cheap cologne
Maybe it's the cognac
But I don't care
Because it's perfect
Just like you

That fateful summer night
Hymnals in the room rang
As we formed uncommon geometry
And created perfection
Euphoria

In the span of an hour
We built Rome
And tore it back down
I still don't care

Because it was sloppy

And it was perfect

And beautiful

Just like you

This is basically where I stock my poetry online. I enjoy poetry, as it seems. Stylistically, I look up to William Carlos Williams and try to apply some sort of pseudo-imagism to my writing, though I'm never consistent and enjoy trying out different styles.

I like this! "Uncommon geometry" is certainlny a compelling term. The reference to Rome, coupled with an inversion of the common saying, would be my favorite part. Snaps, my friend.
