Unconditionally

Women have come in and out of my life and most have been fleeting

At best they were disappointing, at their very worst they were heartbreaking

Some threw me away when they got exactly what they wanted from me

But there was only one woman who was always there and loved me Unconditionally

She rooted me on when I was at my best and stood by me at my very worst

When it comes to true love, she was really The Girl I Loved First

She was the only woman who always stood by me

And she never wanted anything in return and loved me Unconditionally

Looking back, I realize that nobody can truly compare to her

I will never find a love that strong from anyone, anywhere on this Earth

I can look far and wide but it will never again be the same for me

She was the only woman on Earth, who loved me Unconditionally

Next to her all these women I made a big deal about, all of a sudden look very small

When the chips were down she was always the person for me who stood tall

Sometimes I think to myself, that I didn't deserve all the things she did for me

And she was the one person in my life who loved me Unconditionally

She stood up for me when I had a very hard time standing up for myself

She would go through the ringer for me and even put herself through hell

I was the luckiest person in the world to have someone like her always there for me

And she was the one person in my life who loved me Unconditionally

She was the most beautiful woman in the world and right now I know that is true

Sometimes you don't always see it when they are right there in front of you

Now looking back, I realize how fortunate I was that she was always there for me

And she was always consistent and loved me Unconditionally

She left me too soon but still I was lucky to have her as long as I did

A Mother's love for her child is really life's greatest gift

I hope she is looking down at me from Heaven and is proud of me

I will always be proud of my Mother, who loved me Unconditionally
