UNCONSCIOUS VICTIM

Where were you when I was young?

And all the world was simple and fun,

Every day shone bright with the sun,

My carefree life had just begun.

Why weren't you there to show me how,

To learn the things I don't know now,

To spend some time you just wouldn't allow,

And it wasn't enough to shape me somehow.

What did I learn about this life all alone?

Were never the things that I've been shown,

Now I'm missing things I should have known,

When I was a child, not when I was grown.

The unconscious victim does not see her ways,

And with her helpless life she pays and pays,

'Cuz you never showed her in earlier days,

So in a bed of sorrow~ this victim~ she lays.
