Unconventional Hero

Hidden in plain sight A girl almost woman The world before her A future very bright Options of temptation around every corner She chooses a tedious path Constant in her choice to succeed Not critical of others, she is no scorner Burdens of woe Dyslexia, depression, anxiety The weight of the world abound She holds up her sheild and fends off these foes To all that might know her, a beacon of light She inspires confidence, in a less than hopeful era An unconventional hero Encouraging others, be accountable and fight
