The Undead

I wondered what would happen when the dead suddenly became undead.

Maybe he would come back.

It's not going to surprise me if he doesn't.

People always hang around the edges of life, but they really "come back".

But maybe I'll finally fit in somewhere.

Or maybe even the 'people' who are said to be 'freaks' will think of me as a freak.

Is it true every good sad thought has been said and written?

I guess no cause here's another one.

I loved him.... But I never told him.

You may have heard a bunch of stories like this.

But none of them can compare to mine.

None will seem like a big deal compared my lost love story.

The real qustion here is... Do I believe what I saw?

Was it just my mind plaing tricks on me becase I'm always thinking of him

I had decided that my mind was playing tricks on me.

That was until, I saw the news.

I was at home watching tv when it was changed to an important message

His picture covered the screen.

All I knew is they said his body was missing.

I snuck out that night and went to our favortie spot by the lake.

I sat down and cried and cried

Wishing he was here to hold me and tell me eveything would be okay

Right as the thought entered my mind someone touched my arm.

When I looked there he was on time as always.

He looked sad; Sadder than normal.

He picked me up and just held me and just held me

When I woke up from the most sleep I'd had in days

He was still sitting there staring off but as soon as I stand to move he was by my side I looked into his eyes and, "Are you back?"

He smiled that smil that always melts my heart that smile that reaches up to his eyes.

He opened his mouth to say something bu instead walked away that's the last time I saw him

He just left just like that and never came back.
