Under Pressure

Pulse beating

bass beating

faster and faster

tongue twisted tied

words holding on to cells

at the tip of the tongue

not letting go.

even with muttered words.

words, jibberish, as scream!

Releif

release…

butterflies fluttering

settled at the base of the 50 foot drop

A coaster designed to prepare for the

for the shocks of life

terrified at first

screaming the next

and relieved at last

ready to go again,

Experience is everything because

it softens the intense bass,

but never the nausea.
