Underground

There was a popular boy, athletic and fast,

He hides himself within his mask,

He picked fights after being pushed around,

The school is now a battleground.

His parents noticed the scars on his wrists,

How could anyone at school bring him to this?

They called the school, it would alright,

Little did they know he almost died last night.

He goes home and screams it isn't fair,

At school he acts like he doesn't even care,

He knows he may not be perfect,

But they make him feel so worthless.

Now he's questioning whether his life matters,

One punch, the mirror just shatters,

Kicked out of the school 'cause he had enough,

All he wanted to do was stand up.

There was girl who sang in rejoice,

No one could make her silence her voice,

Little did she know that it would end,

She would be abandoned by all her friends.

She once smiled every day,

Until the gossip caused her pain,

Now there's a gun under her bed,

One of these days it's off with her head.

There was boy that excelled at school,

Until he was made into a fool,

All of the kids turned to look,

At the lonely nerd trapped inside a book.

Everyone thought he was to blame,

So he just bowed his head in shame,

They used him as a punching bag,

Cause they knew he couldn't fight back.

Is intelligence really a flaw?

Why did they have to make him fall?

He was on the road to a scholarship,

Until he was found hanged in a closet.

There was girl with dyed hair,

Didn't feel like she belonged anywhere,

To them she was never good enough,

She never felt loved.

Her headphones blared to block out the hate,

Her parents tried their best but it was too late,

She was alone in her world that didn't want her around,

They blocked her out, No one heard a sound.

Any of these stories could be true,

It could me or or it could be you,

Think of the pain they were forced to endure,

Everyday begins a new war.

How did it come to this?

Too much blood has flowed from the wrists,

Of those who refused to hide in the crowd,

Now they are buried underground.
