The Underlying Truth
There he goes inching closer towards me.
He is smiling to see me, happy as can be.
He has flowers in his hands, and comes in for a kiss.
The everyday drill, something I can’t miss.
The blue in his eyes, the dark brown of mine.
Stare deeply into me with nothing to find.
His words full of promise and devotion.
He can’t hide his
Emotion.
I flash a quick sly smile and give another kiss.
The everyday drill, something he can’t miss.
He takes my hand, brings me on a date.
The look on his face full of elate.
Love and affection is so hard to come upon.
Within him they are strong which makes him confess.
I love you with all my heart and nothing can make that
Less.
