Underneath

As the year goes on

I look back to see

all the things I could've won

and love was one I lost

Love has a sweet reward

words can barely describe it

Love is also a double-edged sword

and it hurts when you get hit

remembering how it feels

going through the memories

the pain, it just kills

because I loved her sincerely
