Underneath the Surface

As their day begins, mine is ending

forever cast into the shadows,

words continue blending.

No one will ever understand my sorrows.

Try to speak, but no can hear,

I yell louder and louder but yet,

no one came near.

Speaking my sorrows I will soon regret.

Words, they scratch at my throat, craving

to be released

but yet and still the asphyxiation is  excrutiating.

When will I be at peace?

My words, my song, my story, my LIFE.

It's all the same when you're in a shell.

My sorrow, my grief, my misery, my STRIFE.

All alone I will continue to dwell...

That's what I used to say, to myself and,

any other that wanted to hear from a bitten tongue.

I want to live a life that will be every grand!

Finally, my story will be sung.

I want to travel the oceans, the seas, the plains,

to find that one who feels like me.

To hear the once timid story that can no longer be tamed!

That one will become one with me.

As their day begins, mine does too.

I feel nomore grief, only valor.

I can finally find courage, through you.

Courage to discover me, and to find my true color.
